DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL DEFENSE
DND is the executive department of the Philippine government responsible for guarding against external and internal threats to peace and security in the country. It exercises executive supervision over the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Office of Civil Defense, the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, the National Defense College of the Philippines, and the Government Arsenal. It is also responsible for disaster preparation and management in the country.

Red Hat provides an award winning version of the Linux operating system and offers a full line of services, including on-site consulting, developer training, certification programs and priority access updates for mission-critical Linux environments worldwide. In 2002, Bluepoint offered Red Hat's acclaimed Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) program as the official Red Hat Certified Training and Education Center (RHCTEC) in the Philippines.

FOUNDATION FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT
FIT-ED was established to increase IT awareness in the Philippines and to contribute to the effort to enable Philippine society for the Information Age. It provides a forum for discussions of issues, expectations and realizable goals relevant to this effort. FIT-ED reviews current thinking and sponsors original research on issues relevant to the attainment of an IT-enabled Philippines.


NATIONAL ECONOMIC AND DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
NEDA is the country’s premier socioeconomic planning body, highly regarded as the authority in macroeconomic forecasting and policy analysis and research. It provides high-level advice to policymakers in Congress and the Executive Branch and coordinates the formulation of policies, plans and programs to efficiently set the broad parameters for national and sub-national development.

NATIONAL COMPUTER CENTER
NCC is the lead agency in promoting the strategic use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in the government for the delivery of public services through innovative solutions. It supports to the administration’s ICT thrust by forging strategic alliances with the private sector, coordinating ICT activities, developing human capital, promoting ICT utilization in all sectors of the society, and advocating Philippine ICT services worldwide.

MandrakeSoft is a project initiator and skills organizer in the Open Source arena. It helps users benefit from the community's innovations by offering a powerful, stable and recognized operating system together with a full range of solutions for client computers and for servers. Linux-Mandrake is a distribution that is easy to install and use, fast and reliable. In 1999, Bluepoint became the official distributor of Linux-Mandrake in the Philippines.
